Most Requested Tattoo Styles
Tattoos come in a wide range of design styles and sizes. The reasons for getting tattoos are varied, but surprisingly, there are many styles that stand out. These designs usually end up in a tattoo artist’s most requested pile. Tribal - During the past few years, tribal tattoo concepts have risen in the ranks and has develop into, and for many tattoo artists, the most requested tattoo design type ever. Indigenous tribal tattoo styles have inspired the modern reincarnation of this art form. Many tattoo artists also confirm that of all their tribal styles, Maori ones are the most requested. Kanji - Chinese character tattoo designs are also very popular. This is regularly the design of selection of people who are getting their first tattoos. The name of a loved one or of the one getting the tattoo is usually translated into Kanji. Symbols representing fire, breath, air, life, heart, etc. are also common.
Stars - If one tattoo design will get the distinction of being the one people request for the most, it would be stars. It may be that stars are simple sign and are uncomplicated to create. Of all, it seems that nautical stars are highly favored. However, in the past few years, styles that are composed of a cluster of stars in various sizes have also become popular – especially amongst the ladies.
Roses and Hearts - Flowers are a common tattoo design demand, but of all flowers, roses stand out.. In the same degree of recognition as the rose is the heart. It is also a common occurrence to see roses and hearts together in the same design.
Barbwire - Of all band tattoos (wrist, arm, leg, etc.), barbwire is the most popular. It is common to find barbwire tattoos around the wrists, ankles, or legs. They can also be used to border or accent other tattoo styles.
Butterfly - often regarded as a female symbol, the butterfly is especially trendy with women. Usually placed on the lower back, the nape, or anywhere unseen. Flowers and fairies are trendy with girls too, although, these two are a favorite of men as well.
Celtic knot work, Celtic Crosses, and Crosses in General - Knotwork is identified for its intricateness and attention to detail. Crosses, despite the design, are popular for their religious symbols.
Tattoo concepts that will be receiving an honorable mention include name tattoos. Other trendy tattoo types include fish, dolphins, crowns, eagles, wings, dragons, pin-up girls, and suns. Angels and other religious and cultural symbols counting the Om and the Ankh are also trendy tattoo types.
Although I am a big tattoo fan I always advise against people running into tattoo parlor and demanding tattoo me now, as this can lead to problems later when you regret the design and it is too late. So make sure you get it right!
